My name is Annie Calvaneso, and I have been where you are.


I know what it’s like to feel uncomfortable in your body/instrument.

 About 11 years ago, I was living my dream as a professional singer.  Although I was confident in my singing abilities, I was not confident in my body- constantly comparing myself to other people and feeling insecure onstage. This manifested itself into an eating disorder.

Long story short, I ended up in the hospital (check out the scar on my stomach from it!)  After this, I had a long journey trying to repair my internal health. I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum- too thin to walk, extremely low energy, tired all the time to gaining weight rapidly, feeling self-conscious and uncomfortable in my body.

I would get tired singing long phrases, winded running around onstage, and couldn’t focus on the music because I was so focused on what I looked like.  I had no idea how to eat what I wanted and still accomplish my physical goals, while also FEELING good.  Finding strength training plus healing from my eating disorder through therapy and other modalities changed my life.

My #1 goal is to empower you to live a life that is 100% aligned with your authentic self- this includes the routines you adopt for health and wellness.

Over the past 8 years I have led hundreds of people through this program as well as the Strength for Singers Workshop at universities and young artist programs.

Here is how the program works:

 

Strength for Singers is a 16 week course including a singer-specific workout plan, customized nutrition plan, weekly meetings, and 24/7 support. We open enrollment once a year and accept 8 students.

Our next live session begins in the fall of 2024.

As soon as you join, you will receive an email from Trainerize with details on how to log into your account. The entire course will take place on Kajabi and Trainerize. Our meetings will be via Zoom each week.

You can review the weekly trainings each week or bounce around to whichever topic you need. The trainings cover a wide variety of topics including goal setting, auditing energy, habits, why diets don’t work, metabolic adaptation, postural alignment, and so much more.

You’ll also receive access to my app, where I have a singer-specific workout program. The app tells you how to do each workout, you can track your progress, and I can see when you’ve done them and hold you accountable.

The nutrition protocol for this program is extremely flexible. I do not do fad diets, elimination diets, or restriction of any kind unless a person has an allergy. I will work with you specifically to create a nutrition plan that suits your lifestyle. You CAN accomplish your goals eating all your favorite foods, and I'm here to show you how!

In addition to all this, you have access to a private voice memo chat with myself and all the other singers, where I can answer your questions in real time. Don't know what to order in a restaurant? Need an in the moment form correction? I got you!

"I'm no stranger to fitness, but in recent years I was unable to exercise, due to my diagnosis with CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome), caused by long-term exposure to hidden mold in our former home in Illinois. The chronic adrenal fatigue I experienced was debilitating. I would have to sleep 12-14 hours per night and I was not ALLOWED to exercise during that time.
